Built at the IEP table, not a boardroom.
Datability was built by Mike Radicone, a special education teacher for 24 years who still teaches every day. It has been helping teachers track IEP progress since 2015.
“For most of my career, I tracked IEP goal data on paper sheets and in spreadsheets. The night before an IEP meeting, I was building charts instead of getting ready to talk about the student.”
That’s the whole reason Datability exists. The data was never the problem: teachers collect it every day. The problem was that nobody could see it until it was too late to act on, and turning it into something a parent could understand took an evening nobody had.
So we built the tool we wanted in our own classroom. Log a session in seconds. Watch the trend appear. Get a warning when a student stalls. Walk into the meeting with the report already done.
We’re a small company, Dembry LLC, and we like it that way. When you email us, a teacher reads it. When you ask for a feature, it gets weighed against one question: will a teacher with a full caseload actually use this on a Tuesday?
Our mission is simple: give teachers their time back, so they can spend it on students.
